Visit the sculpture garden at the Delaware Art Museum

The Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington provides visitors with a unique opportunity to view exceptional artwork in an exciting and beautiful setting. A $30 million renovation and redesign of the Museum was completed in 2005. A new outdoor sculpture garden, intriguing new artwork and an outdoor Terrace are some of the new features at the Delaware Art Museum.
The collections held by the Delaware Art Museum focus mainly on American Art. Some of the focuses of the collections include works by Howard Pyle and other illustrators, the art of John Sloan, Pre-Raphaelite Art, and American art from 1757 thru the present.
Art is showcased in 17 gallery spaces on two floors at the Delaware Art Museum. The 9-acre Sculpture Park also displays artwork by a variety of artists, including John Van Alstine, Lin Emergy, Isaac Witkin and others. new glass works by Dale Chihuly and lighting installations by artist James Turrell are featured in the newly renovated Museum building.
Docent-led tours of the Museum’s collections and exhibits are available at the Delaware Art Museum for individuals and groups.
