The Secret Life of Cows is opening at the Track 16 Gallery in Santa Monica, California, on July 7, 2007. This is described as a “an exhibition of surreal and humorous photographs by Glen Wexler”. It certainly is original… The exhibit will feature large-scale prints from Wexler’s new book, also entitled, The Secret Life of Cows. Wexler combines reality with imagination, and creates a world where cows can do almost anything.
The opening reception is Saturday, July 7 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. The exhibit itself will run from July 7 through August 4, 2007. For more information, contact:

The Secret Life of Cows

Also in the Los Angeles area, the Sun Deck Gallery aboard the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, is presenting Rockin’ Hollywood. This exhibition from Michael Childers is comprised of 80 images of rock ‘n roll and movie legends. The exhibit opened on June 15 and will run through September 6, 2007. Childers, one of the entertainment industry’s most acclaimed and respected portrait and fine art photographers, has been creating memorable images since the 1960’s, and still continues to influence to this day.The exhibit is approximately 80 photographs, and includes a diverse selection of Childers’ portraits: Mae West, Natalie Wood, Lily Tomlin, Cat Stevens, Rod Stewart, Rock Hudson, Elton John, Andy Warhol, Ringo Starr, and many more. A photograph Sir Laurence Olivier aboard Natalie Wood’s yacht shows the Queen Mary itself in the background.
In an online exhibit, Kingston Technology is featuring nature and wildlife photographer John Hyde in their “Look Who’s Using Kingston” website. The microsite hope to both motivate and instruct, sharing innovative ways that people use Kingston products to capture images and store important data.
