Canon USA – Giving Back

Canon U.S.A. supports important programs for both children and the environment:

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Canon4Kids Program help raise public awareness about the growing issue of child abduction by featuring pictures of missing children, along with the NCMEC hotline (1-800-THE-LOST), in various venues. For more information, visit www.missingkids.com.

Canon is guided by the corporate philosophy of Kyosei – i.e. all people harmoniously living and working together into the future regardless of race, religion, or culture. Embracing this philosophy, Canon U.S.A. has embraced this philosophy by helping to protect and preserve America’s most valuable resources – children and the environment – through the support of local and national environmental education and youth programs.

The Canon National Parks Science Scholars Program develops the next generation of scientists in the fields of conservation, environmental science and park management. The program was established in 1997 to include students and national parks throughout the Americas. The program supports scientists who will learn, discover, invent and create solutions to preserve national parks in the region. For more information, visit www.nature.nps.gov/canonscholarships.

The Canon Envirothon is North America’s largest high school environmental education competition. More than half a million teenagers are involved in a year-long learning process that combines in-class curriculum with hands-on field experience. For more information, log on to www.envirothon.org.
